In an uneventful game for both sides the two teams heading the Champions League draw 0-0 at the Nou Camp as Cristiano Ronaldo misses from the spot.

The game that was being hyped up as soon as the pool draws were made, even before the Quarter-Finals pool draw turned out to be a below average affair. Both sides struggled to make the final ball although Barcelona held the large majority of posession.

The best chance of the game came very early on, a penalty for a handball in the area by Milito. Ronaldo hit wide from the penalty area.

Not far into the game and United lost ironman Vidic to a stomach problem. This gave Barcelona the key opportunity they neede. The Catalan sides consistent attacking with the great likes of Messi, Deco and Eto’o gave them a sheer advantage as Manchester United were forced to recess their whole side into defence.

The second half was little different, the finishing of both sides seemed abysmal, Henry making the only difference when he came on late, striking hard and fas, Van Der Sar saving with reflex. The French international came once close again with a blistering free-kick, once again, saved.

In all both sides failed to perform to a usual standard, no-one player stood out in particular. Barcelona held the upper-hand the vast duration of time, United bearing a flat, unusual display.
