Match Report: Derby 2-2 Fulham

Derby’s dreadful season finally comes to an end as relegation is confirmed by fellow battling side Fulham.

A season so far for Derby County FC that has been plagued with losses, very little points and a relegation battle has finally reached the end of the road as they’re seen off with a draw against Fulham.

Derby County took an early lead as Dean Leacock’s strike took a deflection on the 10th minute. Unfortunately for Paul Jewell, the glory was short lived, just four minutes later a header from Fulham player, Diomansky Kamara headed in an equaliser.

Fulham then went ahead on 12 minutes from time as Leacock suffered a reverse fortune when he deflected Hamir Bouazza’s shot into the back of the net. Derby showed fighting spirit when they went for the equaliser in the form of Tito Villa’s goal.

As Birmingham took Manchester City by storm, 3-1, Villa’s goal went down in vain. A shameful season for Derby County and a stint in the top-flight has now been deemed all over, with the rest to play down.

Derby who’s only win was against Newcastle United under another short-reign of Allardyce, will be left in the record books for least Premier League wins in a season of all time unless a miracle happens.
