Lampard doubt for England

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is a doubt for England’s friendly against France on Wednesday after suffering a hip injury in Sunday’s Premier League win over Arsenal.

Two goals from Didier Drogba earned the Blues a 2-1 success to climb to second in the table, but the win came at a cost for England boss Fabio Capello.
“I took a knock on my hip during the first half, and it was pretty painful,” explained Lampard.
“I am still going to report for England duty and see how it is.”
Capello has already seen three players pull out of the squad through injury - with Matty Upson, Scott Carson and Chris Kirkland all suffering problems.
