Earlier today, Blackburn spokesmen announced that after a successful trial period that they have signed Swiss midfielder Johann Vogel.

The swiss midfielder whom has featured on the international front, earning a total of 94 caps for Switzerland has been successfully signed after a series of trial periods since the release of his contract by Real Betis in December 2007.

The 31-year old midfielder has played for AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven in the past and has also been targeted by clubs such as Manchester United and Everton, many signs of a very successful career.

He has now signed a two year deal for his new side with the option of a further year.
