Iniesta: Barcelona have missed the chance

Andres Iniesta couldn’t hide his disappointment after Barcelona’s 2-2 draw at Almeria.

Barca failed to take advantage of Real Madrid’s defeat at Deportivo La Coruna, with the draw leaving them seven points behind the Liga leaders.

Iniesta raged afterwards: “We leave Almeria very angry, because we could’ve won, we scored two goals and we failed to obtain more than a point. We could’ve cut the gap with respect to Madrid.

“Even so, we are not going to throw in the towel. There are many games still left and it will be enough to continue fighting until the end. We’ve cut their lead to two points once - we can do that again.”
