Celtic are set to swoop for Liverpool winger Harry Kewell.

The People says the 29-year old Australian is heading for Glasgow, with Liverpool calling time on his injury-blighted five-year stay on Merseyside.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has been closely monitoring Kewell’s situation. It is understood preliminary talks have taken place already and that the former Leeds star is prepared to move his family to Scotland.

Strachan already boasts one Aussie star on his books in Scott McDonald, who has dominated the press and media coverage in his first season at Parkhead.
