Wenger: Premiership will dominate Europe

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is convinced Premiership clubs will dominate Europe for many years to come.

He said: “I’m convinced, yes, that English clubs will dominate because the Premier League is so hard. Many good players play in England but the pace of the game has stayed exactly the same so the physical demands are very high. That is why the players improve.

“That’s why we will find another English club in the final this year. I cannot be certain but I believe it. It looks like our main opponents both domestically and in Europe will be from England. We have four clubs out of eight in the quarter-finals and unless the four play against each other we have a big chance that another English club will play in the final.”
