Can Luciano Moggi revive Juventus…

Digg! Add to Mixx!

Moggi

Former Juventus general director Luciano Moggi is back. Moggi, who was suspended from football for five years for his alleged role in the Calciopoli, roared about the situation in Serie A, where Inter Milan is leading after 26 games. The 70-year-old doesn’t believe that fair referee decisions are made in the league and he blamed Massimo Moratti’s club for that.

“I see the mistakes that the referees make in favour of Inter and I wonder, ‘are these not the same that my Juventus claims to have enjoyed’?”

Moggi reminds me of the game between Inter Milan and AS Roma. The home team conceded a goal after Francesco Totti strike just before the break. After that, the Giallorossi were playing a fantastic game until the red card, which was shown to Phillipe Mexes in the 84th minute. Three minutes later, Javier Zanetti scored for Inter and probably the goal which could win the Scudetto for his team. Roma players felt cheated and Moggi added it was a crucial moment, but the man who was guilty for everything was the referee Rosetti.

“Why is nobody saying anything? Against Roma, for example, the sending off of Mexes was shameful. Burdisso deserved to be red carded long before.”

The Giallorossi, finally cut Inter’s lead at the top of Serie A to just six points at the weekend. Nerrazzuri lost their first game in the campaign against Napoli. Is Moggi right? I feel he is, because no man knows the situation in Serie A better then him. A few days earlier he said that every big club in Italy is corrupted. It means that not only the Bianconeri, but also Inter Milan, AC Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina are guilty. And I agree with it. I really don’t have faith in Inter’s innocence. Moggi also blamed the Juventus management, for not having fought enough to save the club from relegation. In his opinion, it would not happen with Giovanni Agnelli alive, who would do all he could to protect his team.

Former transfer guru of Juve is probably Inter’s biggest threat. Massimo Moratti does not want to speak about him, but he’s always confused after Moggi’s opinions and he said after the game against Napoli, that referees hurt Inter too.

“Lately we had games which were not as easy as the ones we had before, and this can makes us think about a form crisis. Referees make mistakes with Inter, too.” - explained Moratti.

Ibrahimovic

What does Moggi think about it? We have got to wait for the answer. Alessio Secco - sporting director of Juventus - mentioned recently that his club had planned to sell Ibrahimovic but the Swede was not interested in a move to other club only because of relegation.

“Ibrahimovic was leaving even before Calciopoli” - said Secco.

“Moggi asked the board to sell him because his new contract demands were too high.”

The Traitor - as he is named by the Bianconeri supporters - claimed after he signed the contract with Inter, that he was an Inter Milan fan in his childhood. The Ibrahimovic act was silly. Anyway, Moggi was going to make the right decision. If Ibra didn’t want to stay with Juventus, he should be allowed to leave. They don’t need players, who crave for big money and the kind of players who are ever ready to join the biggest rivals after seeing more cash in the contract proposed to them.

The controversial 70-year-old man is still very popular and there were some rumours about his politic career. With Luciano Moggi, anything seems possible to happen. Some of the Juventus fans believe that his return to Juventus after the suspension, would still make him the best director the club has ever had. The greatest negotiator! Stand up for Luciano Moggi!
