United And Spurs Watching Kameni

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both had scouts watching Carlos Kameni as Espanyol defeated Valencia on Sunday.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother, Martin, was present as Los Periquitos beat Los Ché on Saturday to run the rule over the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
Tottenham also had their main European scout watching from the stands as the north London club continue to monitor Kameni as well as Dani Jarque and Albert Riera.
The strong interest from the Premier League teams has not unsettled Espanyol, however, and president Daniel Sánchez Llibre, believes it was normal.
“We do not get preoccupied by this,” Sanchez Llibre told Sky Sports..
“The presence of a scout from England is normal, but in this moment nobody has made any formal contact with us.”
Kameni’s agent, Patrick Mboma, was in Barcelona hoping to discuss the outline of a new deal for his client at the the club, but no meeting has yet been planned.
Epspanyol have stated that they would like to keep the highly-rated custodian, but are not going to be rushed into anything because of outside pressure.
