Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli was pleased with their 2-1 UEFA Cup victory over Rosenborg last night.

The win, thanks to goals from Fabio Liverani and Daniele Cacia, secured passage to the next round and Prandelli said: “We were able to change the game, to accelerate and we did important things. The team has behaved well, we showed grit.

“W have not risked anything, but it has taken a while to understand the situation and to be faster to the ball.

“I am convinced we can go far in this competition.”
