No Milan Return For Shevchenko

Milan are having an injury crisis up front with Ronaldo rupturing ligaments in his left knee and Alexandre Pato not fully recovered from twisting his foot.

Alberto Gilardino and Filippo Inzaghi have not lived up to the standard required by the Rossoneri this season. The situation was so bad that Carlo Ancelotti had to call up youth team players last week.

There were rumors that Shevchenko could return however Damiani has ruled out the possibility.

“A return for Shevchenko to Milan? The player is a non EU citizen, I see a return to Milan as difficult, especially after Ronaldo’s injury,” Damiani told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Sheva is over thirty years old, I think Milan should invest in new reinforcements.

“Ronaldinho, Drogba? It’s very unlikely that the former will come to Italy and he has not been playing well recently, the latter is definitely an excellent player.”

Meanwhile the agent believes that Milan would be better off with someone like Karim Benzema. The Lyon forward has been linked with several big European clubs including Milan.

“He could play with Kaka and Pato, he would be an ideal alternative and perhaps they could form the most lethal strike force in the world,” concluded Damiani.
