Spalletti: We do not fear Real Madrid

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has declared that his Roma side do not fear Real Madrid.
The Giallorossi will clash with Los Blancos on Tuesday February 19 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome for their Champions League first leg tie in the first round of the knockout stages.
Real are currently flying in La Liga, they sit comfortably at the top with a massive eight point lead over nearest rivals Barcelona. Los Merengues thrashed Valladolid 7-0 at the weekend but Spalletti is not worried.
“Scared of Real? No, fear is a very strong word. We respect them but we are not scared of them,” Spalletti told Spanish Paper Marca.
“It will be an important moment for us and it’s very nice to play Real Madrid in the Champions League.”
Spalletti also believes that his side can win if they get things right on the night.
“If we play like a team we have a very good chance of doing well and get an important result,” he assured.
Roma will be hoping to cause an upset next week but with Real’s stunning form it might just be a little too much to ask.
Real Madrid’s magnificent seven at the weekend will no doubt bring back painful Champions League memories for Roma, many will remember the Giallorossi losing 7-1 to Manchester United last season.
